The halls started to become noisy about 5:30 AM as campers began to
move their luggage. They were instructed to load their luggage on the bus
before 6 AM. I entered the lobby about 5:45 and found a large group of campers
patiently waiting for the door to the dining room to open. The hotel
manager/owner observed this and arranged to get the door opened early, and so
many of us were in line for breakfast at 5:50 AM.
Magic fairies seem to arrive at the volunteers’
rooms to move luggage downstairs and into the van. We gathered outdoors at the bus to wave
good-bye to the campers, and the Polish staff also came to us to say, Do widzenia!
We volunteers were on our way to Krakow before the campers’
bus departed. We arrived at Balice airport about 8:20 AM. Lori was dropped at
the domestic terminal and then others made their way to the International
Terminal for their flights back to the United States. Fred, however, will be
enjoying Krakow for two days before leaving for Germany to meet his wife. (Did
you all hear that they are meeting to celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary
in the German city in which they met?!?)

Do widzenia! (Until we see each other again)!
And thus our service has ended.
